Shadow was founded in 1987 as a team dedicated to developing cutting edge robotics. It has since grown to a thriving business with  20 R&D and production engineers in London, Brest and Shanghai and sales globally.

Managing Director

Rich joined Shadow in 1989 to write software for robots, and discovered the robots needed building first. He now leads the company through these exciting times for the robotics industry.

Commercial Director

Thiago oversees the long term direction and R&D for Shadow, as well as leading consulting engagements. Thiago has 10 years experience in the renewables industry developing large scale power projects.

Head of Operations

Gavin is an Industrial Design graduate from Brunel University. With previous SME experience developing technology  products for the long term, he now leads Shadow’s Operations team in delivering projects and products for our customers.

A graduate of Mexico’s Monterrey Institute of Technology and Sweden’s Chalmers University of Technology, Armando oversees the advancement of the Shadow Dexterous Hand and its ongoing development into integrated robotics systems.

Richard GreenhillRichard Greenhill
Founder & Non Executive Director

Richard is a serial entrepreneur and inventor, with a number of patents under his belt. An early robot visionary, Richard set out in the 80s to build robots for the home, and has been building, talking about or receiving awards in robotics ever since.

 

Nick SingerNick Singer
Non Executive Director

Nick’s engineering career has taken him from ballistic missiles early warning systems at RAF Fylingdales to gamma radiation monitoring and automatic test systems. In between providing sage advice to the engineering team Nick can be found playing a banjo at a venue near you now.
