Shadow has developed a range of robotic components that will be useful
to you in robotics and other systems problems. These range from the Air
Muscle to the Dextrous Hand.
The Shadow Motor Hand is the latest incarnation of the most advanced
commercial robot hand in the world. With 24 degrees of freedom, position
sensing on every joint and pressure sensing on every muscle it can give your robots
unparallelled flexibility in manipulation tasks.
The Shadow Finger Test Unit provides researchers with access to an
important component of the Shadow Dextrous Hand system for experiment
and test, as well as establishing preliminary results before
purchasing a Hand system.
Air muscles have incredible power to weight ratios, whilst producing
soft smooth movements. Shadow is a world leader in air muscle technology. We
sell a range of standard sizes of muscles from stock,
but are always happy to make custom sizes for all
applications.
The Shadow Robot Control System provides an excellent platform
on which to start developing your own robot system.
Using our low level robot system you can start easily start
integrating sensors and actuators, working on
your big ideas without worrying about the little things.
The PV-Servitor project has developed panel cleaning,
machine vision and service robot techology for improving
the operational efficiency of large-scale photovoltaic plants by up to 8%.
The Shadow Muscle Hand offers a pneumaticly actuated
version of the most advanced commercial robot hand
in the world. With 24 dof, position
sensing on every joint and pressure sensing on every muscle
it can give your robots unparallelled flexibility in manipulation tasks.
The Shadow Biomorphic Arm exploits the inherent compliance
of the Shadow Air Muscle to produce 4dof of movement
in a similar range to that of the human upper body.
An ideal platform to expand the workspace of the Dexterous hand.
The Shadow Pneumatic Control Unit (SPCU) is designed
to allow interfacing of multiple pneumatic actuators
and sensors. These can then be controlled simultaneously
through a computer serial port. Use it to set up systems
with muscles quickly and easily.
A number of companies offer add-ons to Shadow
systems in order to enhance functionality. These
include advanced tactile sensing solutions and
datagloves compatible with Shadow Hands.
The Shadow engineers are experienced in putting together solutions for
people's problems - if you need something special, don't hesitate to
get in touch.
