The Shadow Tactile Sensor Development Kit gives you an easy way to experiment with the Shadow Tactile Sensor for robotic applications.

The Development Kit comes with everything you need to get up and running with Shadow's Tactile Sensor technology. We provide:

The Tactile Sensor in the Development Kit uses the same QTC (Quantum Tunnelling Composite) technology and electronics as the sensors in the Dextrous Hand. We've packaged it up into an encapsulated unit that can be used on the bench or mounted on robot hardware.

The Development Kit can also be used for testing other Tactile Sensors from Shadow's range.

The Tactile Sensor in the Development Kit is a flat 7x6 tactel array, encapsulated in polyurethane for resilience. Each tactel in the array is sensitive from a light touch up to very high forces.
