Shadow invited to demo at launch of
UK Parliament’s APPG on 4IR
We have been invited to demonstrate our innovative technology at the launch of a new All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). The launch takes place at the House of Commons on 20th March 2017, and will be hosted by the group’s Chairman and founder, Alan Mak MP. The guest of honour and keynote speaker will be the Chancellor of the Exchequer, The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP.
The APPG aims to support and promote 4IR in Parliament, and encourage Government, Parliamentarians, academia, the private sector, and other stakeholders, to engage with 4IR-related issues. The group is cross-party and it’s officers are:
- Alan Mak MP (Conservative) (Chair)
- Peter Kyle MP (Labour) (Vice-Chair)
- Nigel Huddleston MP (Conservative)
- Stephen Kinnock MP (Labour)
- Kevin Hollinrake MP (Conservative)
- Lord Willets (Conservative)
You can read Alan’s views in an article he wrote for the New Statesmen about how Britain’s financial future depends on innovation and becoming a leader in 4IR. You can follow the APPG and find out more about the 4IR on the group’s twitter page: @4IR_APPG.
